No Human Being Is Illegal

'No Human Being Is Illegal' is part of my immigration series. This piece explores the hardships I faced in finding an identity for myself while being undocumented. Through this piece I also wanted to bring awareness on the harm that comes with using the word “illegal” to describe a person. When referring to people who do not have a legal status in the U.S, the term 'undocumented' should be used.
